There are THREE major risks to your farming operation. We call them the Three D's: Death, Debt, and Divorce. Healthy living can hold that first threat off for a while, good business management can have you avoiding and/or reducing the second, but only you and your spouse can save you from the last one. Do you know how?
Join us for a free AgSteward Profitable Ranching Webinar on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 4 pm Pacific time, where Vernie DeMille, therapist and coach, will be teaching us how we can improve our core ranch relationship: marriage.
Your spouse married you BECAUSE all of the things that make you a good rancher also make you a good marriage partner. Come learn how you can harness those strengths to your advantage, overcome obstacles to connection, and learn skills to help move you toward the best relationship you've ever had.
Vernie Lynn DeMille is a storyteller of the simple, unhurried life, and the magic of making time for a love affair with the earth and those you share it with. As a family farmer, author, artist, speaker, licensed massage therapist, and mindfulness retreat facilitator she has centered her life around the pursuit of the interconnectedness of labor, love and the human need to create our life from the elements surrounding us. To touch the earth and one another in ways that strengthen and sustain our relationships.
From her early experiences as the youngest of 12 children on a California ranch, to traveling back roads and scenic byways with her retired parents, to raising her 4 children on a small family farm in the Midwest, and following her husband on farm management adventures around the country, Vernie Lynn has lived the truth that our life isn’t just what happens to us; it’s the story we weave through our experiences, our willingness to learn lessons from our own lives, and our capacity to use that education to shape our personal happiness and satisfaction. She believes and teaches that nature and nurture go hand in hand and that the soil beneath our feet has the power to grow common bonds between people of all different backgrounds and beliefs.
Vernie received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Brigham Young University, Provo, her Massage Therapy licensing course from Healing Mountain Massage School, Cedar City, Utah and is currently pursuing education as a health and wellness coach..
